This is a RARE original 8 x 10 inch DOUBLE WEIGHT studio portrait of up and coming starlet, MIRIAM HOPKINS in a pensive glamour view taken by Vandamm Studio’s in New York. A glamorous and artistic portrait of the jazz age beauty modeling a delicate formal gown with fringe accents. This rare portrait was taken when Hopkin’s was a chorus girl in New York City during the 1920’s. In 1930, she signed with Paramount Pictures and made her official film debut in Paramount’s “Fast and Loose”. Her first great success was in the 1931 pre-code horror film, “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”. The front of the photo has a Vandamm Studio Blind Stamp on the lower left hand corner and a rubber stamp on verso. The photo is in VERY FINE condition with some waviness to the right side border.
