This is a RARE original 8 x 10 inch LINEN-BACKED publicity portrait of actress, SYLVIA SIDNEY with those dreamy eyes and intoxicating over the shoulder gaze. A simply dazzling glamour view for Paramount Pictures 1932 pre-code film, “MERRILY WE GO TO HELL”. The film title was an example of the sensationalistic titles that were common during the pre-code Hollywood era. Many newspapers refused to publicize the film due to it’s racy title.
