At the peak of her popularity she was the highest paid actress in the world earning a staggering 250,000 in 1938. Carroll was best remembered for her role in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 British thriller, “The 39 Steps”. The photo is in VERY FINE to EXCELLENT condition with minor wear.
