Description

This is a RARE original circa 1947, approx. 8 x 10 inch publicity portrait of Howard Hughes beauty, FAITH DOMERGUE and GEORGE DOLENZ. Publicity for the controversial R.K.O film, “VENDETTA”. Printed Caption on verso mentions the Director as Preston Sturges. He has been identified as being one of the early Directors who was fired by Howard Hughes. This is a rare scene portrait that was taken when Sturges was directing. The date May.19, 1947 is written on the back. Principle photography started in 1946 through United Artist’s but the film was plagued with production problems due to Hughes’s constant interference with Directors. The film was finally released through R.K.O Pictures in 1950 at a staggering cost of 4 million dollars! The photo is in VERY FINE with some surface wear from handling. I do combine shipping on multiple items. Shipping in Canada and the USA is 12.00.
