This is a RARE original circa 1950, 8.25 x 10 inch publicity portrait of blonde bombshell, MARILYN MONROE in a early glamour view for the 20th Century Fox film, “ALL ABOUT EVE”. Portrait originally taken by photographer, FRANK POWOLNY. Still Number F999/S/207. The film was highly praised by critics and was nominated for 14 Academy Awards, winning six including Best Picture. The film provided one of Marilyn Monroe’s earliest and most important roles. She would also appear in the critically praised film-noir, “The Asphalt Jungle” in the same year. These films would help define the blonde bombshell into one of Hollywood’s leading ladies during the 1950’s. The photo is in FINE to VERY FINE condition with minor corner and edge creasing.
