This is VERY RARE original circa 1953, 8 x 10 inch studio portrait of 22 year old blonde starlet, CARROLL BAKER in a beautifully composed light and shadow view that accentuates a femme fatale allure. Photo Credit given to Moss Studio (New York) at the lower right hand border. Carroll Baker moved to New York City in her early 20’s where she studied acting with Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio. She began performing on Broadway and would go on secure the leading role in Elia Kazan’s controversial film “Baby Doll” (1956). Her infamous role garnered an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe. The photo is in FINE to VERY FINE condition with some surface wear from handling and minor corner creasing. Rare Early Portrait! I do combine shipping on multiple items.
