Description

This is a RARE original circa 1953, 8.25 x 10 inch publicity portrait of blonde bombshell, MARILYN MONROE showcasing her shapely figure and come-hither gaze. “The Independence Day” sitting was a collaborative effort between photographers, Bert Reisfeld and Frank Powolny. This portrait sitting was based on a 4th of July theme of Marilyn modeling a swimsuit, polka-dot scarf, and posing with various props including fire crackers and holding celebratory signs. This photo shoot was also used as publicity for the 20th Century Fox film, “HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE”. Still Number F999/S/436. The photo is in VERY FINE condition with minor corner creasing.
