Description

This is a RARE original 8 x 10 inch publicity portrait of “B” film beauty, MARA CORDAY as the sultry night club owner, Vera Parkinson. She was the tough as nails, bad girl bombshell and criminal mastermind of an “All-Girl” gang of thieves. Publicity for Universal Pictures crime noir, “GIRLS ON THE LOOSE”. She was best known for her roles in three “B” grade Sci-Fi/Horror films, “Tarantula” (1955), “The Giant Claw” and “The Black Scorpion” (both in 1957). “Girls on the Loose” was released the same year she became Playboy Playmate of the Month. It would also mark the last film she made before retiring from the screen to focus on her personal life and family. She would return to film but only in small supporting roles which featured her friend, Clint Eastwood. The photo is in VERY FINE condition with some minor corner and edge wear. Stunning Portrait!
