This is an original circa 1977, 8 x 10 inch publicity portrait of bodybuilders, ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER and FRANCO COLUMBU with a few bikini-clad admirers at Venice Beach, California. Publicity for the Cinema 5 production, “PUMPING IRON”. Pumping Iron was a docudrama about the world of bodybuilding during the 1970’s. The film focused on the 1975 IFBB Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia Competitions. The success of the film would inspire a fitness craze in the late 1970’s-80’s and would launch newcomer, Arnold Schwarzenegger into Hollywood stardom.
