This is a RARE original, circa 1978, 7 x 9 inch publicity portrait of MARK HAMILL as Luke Skywalker and robot sidekick R2D2 make an appearance for the CBS Television Show, “THE STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL”. This TV Special (made at the height of Star Wars mania) takes place on the planet of the Wookies, where Chewbacca is visiting his son “Lumpy” , his 400 year old father “Itchy” , and wife “Malla” , where they are celebrating “Life Day” , the most important holiday on the Wookie calendar. It was not surprising that this wacky addition to the Star Wars pantheon was quickly forgotten. CBS-TV Caption Tag is dated, Oct.20, 1978 with descriptive Tear Sheet also attached on verso. The broadcast date was Friday, Nov.17, 1978. The photo is in EXCELLENT condition with minor wear. These TV stills might be the only first release items that exist relating to is obscure television show and are a must for the Star Wars completionist. I do combine shipping on multiple items.
