This is a RARE original 8 x 10 inch publicity portrait of Hollywood starlet, JOAN FULTON aka JOAN SHAWLEE modeling an exquisite pearl choker in this early glamour view for Universal Pictures 1946 film-noir horror film, “HOUSE OF HORRORS”. The back of the photo has a Paper Caption attached and is Date Stamped, Mar.23, 1946. Joan’s statuesque 5′ 9″ figure caught the attention of comedian, Lou Costello. Costello discovered her singing at the famous Copacabana and asked her to join him in Hollywood. With Costello’s influence, Joan Shawlee was signed to a contract with Universal Pictures under the name Joan Fulton. The photo is in VERY FINE condition with slight trimming to the borders.
